Camera Critter for today



This picture was taken in 1961 (I think)... at McMurdo Station in Antartica when my FIL was stationed there for Operation Deep Freeze. They made friends w/a group of penguins who
hung around every day. You can see the planes in the background. Sorry it's such bad quality, but it's a scan of a B&W!

I can not imagine ever seeing one of these in their home country! What an interesting time it must have been for your FIL and what stories he must have to share!

This is such a great capture! I love penguins. I bet you have heard some fascinating stories from your FIL. Part of me would like to visit Antartica just to see it in person. But a bigger part of me is pretty sure pictures are enough. ;)
